Agriculture Reviews: An International Journal (ISSN: 3050-7863) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, integrity, and transparency. The journal strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure fairness, accountability, and responsibility throughout the editorial and publishing process.
The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submissions, and any other unethical research or publishing practices.
1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting manuscripts to Agriculture Reviews are expected to:
- Submit original, accurate, and well-documented work that is free from plagiarism.
- Properly acknowledge all sources, references, and contributions of other researchers.
- Avoid duplicate or redundant submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation of research findings.
- Ensure that all listed co-authors have made significant contributions to the research and approve the final version of the manuscript.
- Follow appropriate ethical standards for research involving plants, animals, microorganisms, soil, genetic resources, or human participants, and provide the required institutional or ethical clearance when applicable.
2. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are central to safeguarding the quality and credibility of scholarly publishing. They are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations to help authors improve their work.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and not use any part of the content for personal or professional benefit.
- Review manuscripts impartially, without bias related to gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
- Declare any conflicts of interest that could affect the impartiality of their review.
- Report any suspected plagiarism, duplication, data falsification, or other unethical research practices to the editorial office.
3. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
The editorial board, under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, is responsible for ensuring that:
- Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic merit, originality, and relevance to agriculture and allied sciences, without discrimination.
- The peer review process is conducted rigorously, fairly, and confidentially.
- Editorial and publishing decisions are made free from any conflicts of interest.
- Allegations of misconduct are investigated transparently, promptly, and fairly.
- Retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern are issued whenever necessary to preserve the integrity of the scientific record.
4. Research Misconduct & Handling Procedures
The journal considers the following practices unethical and unacceptable:
- Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism and improper image/data manipulation)
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate submission or redundant publication
- Improper or honorary authorship attribution
Procedure in cases of misconduct:
- The editorial office will carry out an initial investigation and request an explanation from the authors.
- If misconduct is confirmed, actions may include: rejection of the manuscript, withdrawal from review, retraction of a published article, or publication of a correction.
- In severe cases, the issue may be reported to the authors’ institution, funding body, or relevant authorities.
5. Transparency and Accountability
Agriculture Reviews promotes openness and honesty in all research practices.
All published articles undergo rigorous editorial and ethical checks before publication.
Any corrections, clarifications, or retractions will be published promptly and transparently in accordance with COPE standards.
6. Compliance with COPE Guidelines
The journal fully follows the COPE Code of Conduct for editors, reviewers, and authors.
