Agriculture Reviews: An International Journal (ISSN: 3050-7863) publishes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives across all areas of agriculture, including crop science, soil and water management, sustainable farming practices, agricultural biotechnology, livestock management, agronomy, horticulture, agricultural engineering, food systems, and rural development. Authors are advised to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Manuscript Types

The journal accepts the following categories:

  • Original Research Articles: Full-length studies with novel findings in agriculture (6,000–8,000 words).
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive and critical reviews on agricultural topics (7,000–10,000 words).
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of innovative techniques, pilot studies, or new methods in agriculture (2,000–3,000 words).
  • Perspectives/Commentaries: Expert viewpoints on policy, technology, or future trends in agriculture (up to 2,500 words).

2. Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted online through the journal’s submission system (details on the journal website).

Submissions must be in English and in MS Word or LaTeX format.

A single document containing text, tables, and figures may be submitted for initial review.

3. Manuscript Structure

Title Page

Concise and informative title.

Author names, affiliations, and ORCID IDs (if available).

Corresponding author details (email and mailing address).

Abstract and Keywords

Abstract: 200–250 words, structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion).

Keywords: 4–6 keywords relevant to agricultural research.

Main Text

Introduction: Background and significance in agriculture.

Materials and Methods: Detailed methods, ensuring reproducibility (including field experiments, surveys, or laboratory analysis).

Results: Clear presentation of findings with tables/figures.

Discussion: Interpretation, comparison with prior agricultural studies, and implications for farming or food systems.

Conclusion: Key outcomes and recommendations for practice or policy.

References

Follow APA 7th edition style.

References should include research articles, field trials, policy reports (e.g., FAO, ICAR, USDA), and reliable agricultural databases.

4. Figures and Tables

Figures must be in high resolution (minimum 300 dpi, JPEG/TIFF/PNG).

Tables should be editable and placed within the manuscript.

Each figure and table must have a clear, descriptive caption.

5. Ethical Considerations

Authors must follow ethical standards in agricultural research, including approval from institutional committees for studies involving animals, field trials, or genetically modified organisms (GMOs).

Conflicts of interest and funding must be disclosed.

Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, or falsified data will lead to rejection or retraction (as per COPE guidelines).

6. Data and Materials Availability

A Data Availability Statement must be included.

Authors are encouraged to deposit agricultural datasets, soil data, climate records, or breeding data in repositories (e.g., ICPSR, Figshare, Dryad, GBIF).

If data cannot be shared, authors must provide justification.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

An APC is required upon acceptance of the manuscript.

Waivers or discounts may be considered for authors from low-income countries.

8. Copyright and Open Access

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).

Authors retain copyright while granting the journal publishing rights.

9. Preprints

The journal accepts manuscripts previously shared on preprint servers (e.g., AgriRxiv, bioRxiv). Authors must declare this during submission.

10. Peer Review Policy

The journal follows a single-blind peer review system.

Manuscripts are evaluated for originality, scientific quality, clarity, and agricultural relevance.
