These Special Issues are led by Guest Editors, who are distinguished experts and thought leaders in their respective domains. Guest Editors play a key role in ensuring the academic quality, relevance, and impact of these thematic issues, which aim to highlight cutting-edge research and foster collaboration across disciplines.

This document provides detailed guidelines for Guest Editors to manage Special Issues with integrity, professionalism, and efficiency.

1. Role of Guest Editors

Guest Editors are responsible for ensuring that each Special Issue aligns with the journal’s mission of promoting innovation and excellence in AI and Cybersecurity. Their responsibilities include:

  • Proposing innovative and timely themes for Special Issues in AI, Data Science, or Cybersecurity.
  • Preparing a formal proposal that includes the title, scope, and tentative timeline.
  • Overseeing the peer review process to ensure academic rigor and fairness.
  • Inviting high-quality manuscripts from their research networks and professional communities.
  • Ensuring compliance with ethical standards, originality, and scholarly merit.
  • Writing an introductory editorial summarizing the theme and key insights of the Special Issue (optional).

2. Proposal Submission

To propose a Special Issue, prospective Guest Editors must submit a Special Issue Proposal Form containing the following details:

  • Proposed Title of the Special Issue
  • Rationale & Relevance: Explanation of the importance and timeliness of the topic
  • Scope: Key themes, subtopics, and application areas to be covered
  • Tentative Timeline: Expected deadlines for submission, review, and publication
  • List of Potential Contributors (if available)
  • Guest Editor Information: Full name, institutional affiliation, email, ORCID iD, and a short biography

All proposals are reviewed by the Editorial Board, and selected applicants will be officially appointed as Guest Editors.

3. Responsibilities During the Special Issue

Guest Editors are expected to:
