The peer review process is a cornerstone of academic publishing, ensuring that only high-quality, original, and impactful research in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cybersecurity is published.
At AI & Cyber Forum: An International Journal, we deeply value the expertise and dedication of our reviewers. These guidelines are designed to assist reviewers in conducting fair, constructive, and timely evaluations that uphold the journal’s standards of excellence, integrity, and scholarly rigor.
1. Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, unbiased, and confidential assessments of manuscripts.
- Evaluate the novelty, technical quality, and significance of the research.
- Offer clear, constructive feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.
- Identify potential issues such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, data manipulation, or ethical concerns.
- Declare any conflicts of interest that may influence their objectivity.
- Complete reviews within the agreed timeline to support timely publication.
2. Evaluation Criteria
When reviewing a manuscript, reviewers should consider the following:
- Originality & Innovation: Does the paper present new methods, algorithms, frameworks, or insights in AI, machine learning, or cybersecurity?
- Relevance: Is the study aligned with the journal’s scope — focusing on AI systems, deep learning, data science, IoT, or network security?
- Methodology: Are the research methods, experimental design, datasets, and performance metrics appropriate and rigorous?
- Clarity & Organization: Is the manuscript logically structured, clearly written, and supported by relevant literature?
- Reproducibility: Are the results verifiable, and is sufficient detail provided for replication?
- References & Citations: Are prior works and state-of-the-art studies adequately acknowledged?
- Figures, Tables & Visualizations: Are they accurate, informative, and relevant to the conclusions presented?
3. Review Process
Invitation: Reviewers receive an invitation containing the manuscript title and abstract.
Acceptance or Decline: Confirm your expertise and availability before accepting the review.
Confidential Review: Manuscripts must be treated as confidential and not shared or discussed without permission.
Recommendation Options:
- Accept as is
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
Feedback Submission: Provide detailed, respectful, and constructive comments for authors, along with confidential notes to editors if necessary.
4. Confidentiality & Ethics
Manuscripts are confidential documents and must not be used for personal research or advantage.
Reviewers should remain unbiased and avoid discrimination based on gender, nationality, institution, or personal beliefs.
If reviewers feel unqualified or unable to provide an objective review, they must inform the editorial office promptly.
Any suspicion of plagiarism or unethical research practices must be reported to the editor.

Recognition in the journal’s Annual Reviewer Acknowledgment list.
Eligibility for a Certificate of Review upon request.
Consideration for roles such as Editorial Board Member or Guest Editor for special issues.

6. How to Submit a Review
Reviewers should:
- Log in to the journal’s online submission and review system.
- Access the assigned manuscript under “Pending Reviews.”
- Submit detailed comments, suggestions, and recommendations through the system interface.
