AI & Cyber Forum: An International Journal (ISSN XXXX-XXXX) is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, integrity, and transparency. The journal strictly adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines to ensure fairness, accountability, and ethical responsibility in all aspects of editorial and publishing processes.

The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submissions, unethical authorship practices, and any form of research or publication misconduct.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to AI & Cyber Forum must uphold the highest ethical standards in their research and writing. They are expected to:

  • Submit original, accurate, and unpublished work free from plagiarism or manipulation.
  • Properly acknowledge all sources, data, algorithms, and intellectual contributions used in the research.
  • Avoid duplicate or simultaneous submissions of the same manuscript to multiple journals.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest (financial, institutional, or personal) that may influence results or interpretations.
  • Ensure that all listed co-authors have made substantial contributions and have approved the final manuscript.
  • Provide evidence of ethical compliance for research involving data privacy, cybersecurity experiments, human-computer interaction studies, or sensitive datasets.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the credibility and quality of scholarly publishing. They are expected to:

  • Provide objective, fair, and constructive feedback aimed at improving the quality of the work.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the manuscript and refrain from using its content for personal advantage.
  • Avoid any form of bias or prejudice based on gender, nationality, affiliation, or academic background.
  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest that might affect impartiality in their review.
  • Report any suspected plagiarism, data manipulation, or unethical research practices to the editorial office.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

The editorial board, under the leadership of the Editor-in-Chief, is responsible for ensuring the integrity and fairness of the publication process. Editors must:

  • Evaluate manuscripts solely based on scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s focus areas.
  • Ensure that the peer review process is conducted fairly, transparently, and confidentially.
  • Avoid handling manuscripts where conflicts of interest exist.
  • Investigate any allegations of misconduct promptly and impartially.
  • Issue retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern as necessary to maintain the scientific record’s credibility.

4. Research Misconduct & Handling Procedures

The journal considers the following actions as serious ethical violations:

  • Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism and improper use of source code or datasets)
  • Data fabrication, falsification, or result manipulation
  • Duplicate submission or redundant publication
  • Authorship disputes, ghostwriting, or honorary authorship
  • Misuse of AI tools or unethical data collection methods

Procedure for Handling Misconduct:

  • The Editorial Office conducts a preliminary investigation upon receiving a complaint or suspicion.
  • Authors are given an opportunity to clarify or respond.
  • If misconduct is confirmed, possible actions include rejection, withdrawal, retraction, or publication of a correction notice.
  • In severe cases, the issue may be reported to the authors’ affiliated institution, funding body, or governing ethics committee.

5. Transparency and Accountability

AI & Cyber Forum promotes openness, reproducibility, and honesty in scientific communication.

All manuscripts undergo rigorous editorial and ethical screening prior to publication.

Any corrections, clarifications, or retractions will be published transparently, following COPE and international ethical publishing standards.

Authors are encouraged to share data, models, or code repositories (where applicable) to foster transparency and reproducibility.

6. Compliance with COPE Guidelines

The journal fully complies with the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for editors, reviewers, and authors.
