Author Instructions
Annals of Medical and Health Research: An International Journal publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, clinical case reports, brief communications, perspectives, and commentaries across all areas of medical and health sciences. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting their manuscripts.
1. Manuscript Types
The journal accepts the following categories:
Original Research Articles: Full-length studies presenting novel findings in clinical, biomedical, or public health research (5,000–8,000 words).
Review Articles: Comprehensive, critical, and evidence-based reviews on medical topics (6,000–10,000 words).
Short Communications: Brief reports of innovative techniques, pilot studies, or new methodologies in healthcare (2,000–3,000 words).
Case Reports/Clinical Observations: Detailed documentation of clinical cases with educational or research significance (2,500–4,000 words).
Perspectives/Commentaries: Expert viewpoints on medical policy, emerging technologies, or future trends in healthcare (up to 2,500 words).
2. Manuscript Structure
Title Page
Concise, informative title.
Author names, affiliations, and ORCID IDs (if available).
Corresponding author’s email and mailing address.
Abstract and Keywords
Abstract: 200–250 words, structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
Keywords: 4–6 keywords relevant to the medical field.
Main Text
Introduction: Background, rationale, and significance of the study.
Materials and Methods: Detailed methodology, ensuring reproducibility (including clinical protocols, laboratory techniques, surveys, or data analyses).
Results: Clear presentation of findings with tables and figures.
Discussion: Interpretation of results, comparison with prior studies, clinical relevance, and implications.
Conclusion: Key outcomes, recommendations for practice, policy, or future research.
References
Follow APA 7th edition style or journal-specific referencing format.
Include peer-reviewed research articles, clinical trials, guidelines, and authoritative databases (e.g., WHO, CDC, PubMed).
3. Submission Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted online via the journal’s submission system (details on the journal website).
Submissions must be in English and in MS Word or LaTeX format.
Initial submissions should include a single file containing text, tables, and figures.
4. Figures and Tables
Figures must be high resolution (minimum 300 dpi, JPEG/TIFF/PNG).
Tables should be editable and embedded in the manuscript.
Each figure and table must have a clear descriptive caption.
5. Ethical Considerations
Authors must comply with ethical standards in clinical and biomedical research, including IRB/ethics committee approval where applicable.
Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed.
Plagiarism, duplicate submissions, or falsified data will lead to rejection or retraction, following COPE guidelines.
6. Data and Materials Availability
Include a Data Availability Statement.
Authors are encouraged to deposit datasets (clinical trials, biomedical data, survey results) in repositories such as Figshare, Dryad, or institutional repositories.
If data cannot be shared, provide a justification in the manuscript.
7. Article Processing Charges (APC)
An APC is applied upon acceptance of the manuscript.
Waivers or discounts may be considered for authors from low-income countries or early-career researchers.
8. Copyright and Open Access
Articles are published under Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
Authors retain copyright while granting the journal publishing rights.
9. Preprints
Manuscripts previously shared on preprint servers (e.g., medRxiv, bioRxiv) are accepted.
Authors must declare prior preprint posting during submission.
10. Peer Review Policy
The journal follows a double-blind peer review system.
Manuscripts are evaluated for originality, scientific quality, clarity, clinical relevance, and ethical compliance.
