Xplore Environment: An International Journal is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. We strictly follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability throughout the editorial and publishing process.

The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards plagiarism, fabrication, falsification of data, and any form of unethical research or publication practices.

1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to the journal must:

  • Ensure that their work is original, accurate, and free from plagiarism.
  • Properly cite all sources and acknowledge contributions from others.
  • Avoid duplicate submission or redundant publication in multiple journals.
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation.
  • Ensure that all co-authors have contributed significantly and approved the final version.
  • Follow ethical guidelines for research involving humans, animals, or the environment, and provide necessary approvals where applicable.

2. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of scholarly publishing. They are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and not use it for personal benefit.
  • Avoid bias or discrimination based on gender, race, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation.
  • Declare any conflict of interest that may affect their ability to provide an unbiased review.
  • Report suspected cases of plagiarism, duplication, or ethical violations to the editors.

3. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

The editorial team, led by the Editor-in-Chief, ensures that:

  • Manuscripts are evaluated based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance, without bias.
  • The peer review process remains fair, rigorous, and confidential.
  • Conflicts of interest are avoided in decision-making.
  • Allegations of misconduct are investigated thoroughly and transparently.
  • Retractions, corrections, or expressions of concern are issued promptly when necessary.

4. Research Misconduct & Handling Procedures

The journal considers the following practices unethical:

  • Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism and image manipulation)
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Duplicate submission or redundant publication
  • Improper authorship attribution

In cases of suspected misconduct:

  • The editorial office will investigate and contact the authors for explanation.
  • If confirmed, the manuscript may be rejected, retracted, or corrected, depending on the severity.
  • The case may be reported to the authors’ institution or relevant authorities.

The journal promotes open, honest, and responsible research practices.

All published content is subject to rigorous quality checks.

Any corrections, clarifications, or retractions are published openly in line with COPE standards.
