APC
Xplore Environment: An International Journal follows a Gold Open Access model, which ensures that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription or access barriers. To cover the costs associated with high-quality open access publishing, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance of their manuscript.
1. Purpose of APC
The APC is used exclusively to cover the following:
Editorial management and peer review process.
Online hosting, archiving, and indexing of published articles.
Professional copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading.
DOI assignment and metadata management for long-term accessibility.
Website maintenance and global distribution of research content.
By paying the APC, authors support the journal’s mission of providing free and unrestricted access to scholarly research in environmental science.
2. APC Amount
Original Research Articles / Review Papers: [Insert APC in USD/INR]
Case Studies / Short Communications: [Insert APC in USD/INR]
Invited Articles / Editorials: No APC (by invitation only)
Note: APC rates are subject to periodic revision. Authors will be informed of applicable charges at the time of acceptance.
3. Waivers and Discounts
To encourage wider participation and inclusivity, the journal may grant full or partial waivers in the following cases:
Authors from low-income or lower-middle-income countries (based on World Bank classification).
Early-career researchers and students with limited funding.
Special Issues where the Guest Editor has negotiated reduced or waived APCs.
Waiver requests must be made at the time of submission and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
4. Payment Procedure
APC is payable only after the manuscript is accepted for publication.
Authors will receive an official invoice from the Editorial Office.
Payments can be made via:
Bank transfer (preferred)
Credit/Debit card
Online payment gateways (details provided on invoice)
A payment receipt will be issued to the corresponding author for institutional reimbursement purposes.
5. Refund Policy
APCs are non-refundable once the article has been processed for publication.
If an article is withdrawn by the authors after acceptance, APC will not be refunded.
In rare cases of technical error or journal-side withdrawal, APC refunds may be considered at the discretion of the publisher.
6. Transparency and Ethics
The journal does not charge submission fees.
APC is the only cost authors are required to bear.
There are no hidden charges for color figures, supplementary materials, or length of manuscript.
By paying the APC, authors contribute to advancing open access environmental research, ensuring that their work reaches a global readership without barriers.
