Acta Social Science & Humanities: An International Journal welcomes submissions of high-quality original research papers, review articles, case studies, essays, short communications, and book reviews across the broad spectrum of social sciences, humanities, and cultural studies.

To uphold academic rigor and ensure a smooth editorial process, authors are requested to carefully follow the detailed instructions below before submitting their manuscripts.

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Original Research Articles:
Comprehensive studies presenting significant and original research findings contributing to the understanding of human society, culture, or behavior.

Review Articles:
Critical and analytical reviews offering in-depth perspectives on emerging trends, theoretical developments, or recent scholarship in specific areas of the social sciences or humanities.

Case Studies:
Contextual analyses of particular communities, policies, institutions, or cultural phenomena with theoretical and practical implications.

Short Communications / Essays:
Concise discussions or reports presenting new ideas, methodological innovations, or preliminary research findings.

Book Reviews:
Scholarly evaluations of recent publications relevant to the journal’s focus areas, highlighting their contributions and limitations.

Commentary / Perspective Articles:
Opinion pieces and reflective essays addressing current debates, policy challenges, or philosophical insights within the social sciences and humanities.

2. Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

General Format

Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct English.

Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and 1.5 line spacing with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format only.

Include continuous line and page numbers for reviewer reference.

Structure of the Manuscript

Title Page

A concise and informative title accurately reflecting the research content.

Full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.

The corresponding author’s contact details and ORCID iD.

Funding acknowledgments and disclosure of conflicts of interest, if any.

Abstract

A structured abstract of 150–250 words, summarizing the background, purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications.

Include 3–6 keywords for indexing and discoverability.

Main Text

Introduction: Establish the research background, rationale, and objectives.

Methodology: Describe data collection, sampling, or analytical methods used, ensuring clarity and reproducibility.

Results / Findings: Present core findings with relevant evidence, tables, and figures where appropriate.

Discussion: Interpret the results in context, relate them to previous literature, and discuss theoretical or practical significance.

Conclusion: Summarize the key insights, contributions, limitations, and directions for future research.

References

Use APA 7th Edition citation style consistently.

Include DOI numbers for all available sources.

Figures and Tables

Each figure and table must be cited in the text and numbered sequentially.

Provide descriptive captions and ensure images are of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi)

3. Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system or via the Editorial Office email (if applicable). Each submission must include:

Cover Letter: Briefly describe the manuscript’s significance, novelty, and confirm originality.

Copyright Agreement Form: Signed by all authors upon acceptance.

Conflict of Interest Statement: Disclose any potential conflicts related to the research.

4. Figures and Tables

Figures must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi) in JPEG, TIFF, or PNG format.

Tables should be editable (not images) and inserted within the manuscript.

Each figure and table must have a clear, descriptive caption and be numbered sequentially.

5. Ethical Considerations

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

Research involving human participants, communities, or data must comply with ethical research standards and include necessary institutional approval.

The journal employs plagiarism detection tools; manuscripts with similarity above 15% may be rejected.

Authorship must reflect substantial scholarly contribution; ghost or honorary authorship is not permitted.

6. Peer Review Policy

The journal follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure fairness and objectivity.

Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers based on originality, clarity, and scholarly contribution.

Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback before a final decision is made.

The Editor-in-Chief holds the final authority on acceptance decisions.

7. Article Processing Charges (APC)

Acta Social Science & Humanities operates under a Gold Open Access model.

Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) only after the final acceptance of their paper.

Waivers or discounts are available for authors from low-income countries or early-career researchers.

Details regarding APC and payment methods are provided upon acceptance.

8. Copyright and Licensing

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License.

Authors retain full copyright of their work.

The journal reserves the right to publish, distribute, and archive the material for scholarly use, with proper attribution to the author(s).

9. Author Checklist Before Submission
